Some new models of Nissan and Infinity now use a random PIN code. This PIN is made by converting the BCM (Body Control Module) identification number to a PIN using special Nissan software. The BCM is located next to the fuse panel. The dealer uses a software program called "ASSIST" to convert the BCM code. This new random PIN code has also been incorporated into new models as they come out.
Infiniti-Nissan models using a System 4 in the U.S. will use the standard OBD2 cable and no adapter.
The 350Z uses a Random PIN Code that must be converted from the serial number on the BCM (Body Control Module) which is located next to the fuse panel on the inside drivers side kick panel.
