Toyota ECM Locations

4-Runners - You will find it located under the glove box.  Use a 10 mm socket to remove the glove box.  The ECM is mounted sideways and the five connectors will be facing towards you.  The ECM is right under the air duct.

Avalon You will find it located under the glove box.  Use a 10 mm socket to remove the glove box.  The ECM is mounted sideways and the five connectors will be facing towards you.  Special note on 1999 Avalons you will find the top 10mm nut is way back almost straight up and seems to be secured by locktite.  We use a deep socket 10 mm with a universal to remove the top 10 mm nut.

Camry & Camry XLE  You will find it located under the glove box.  Use a 10 mm socket to remove the glove box.  The ECM is mounted sideways and the five connectors will be facing towards you.  . Remove wire connectors attached to ECM then remove two 10 mm nuts attached to the ECM brackets then remove ECM from under the dash.

Solara  You will find it located under the glove box.  Use a 10 mm socket to remove the glove box.  The ECM is mounted sideways and the five connectors will be facing towards you. Remove wire connectors attached to ECM then remove two 10 mm nuts attached to the ECM brackets then remove ECM from under the dash.
